Season Reviews and Stats : Team Most Valuable Players The Most Valuable Players have been named by the GM of their respective team. They are the players who helped their team the most, by their play and their attitude. Here they are: The biggest surprise came when Adam Ardis announced Mario Lemieux as the Mallrats MVP. Lemieux had a great season, but what about his linemate Eric Lindros! 55 Goals, 101 Points, 31 Power Play Goals and 12 Game Winning Goals is a pretty good season. Ardis even declared that Mario Lemieux would be the league MVP. We'll see about that! -Albany Mallrats : Mario Lemieux Adam Ardis: "The MVP of the league is Mario Lemieux of the Mallrats." -Boston Agent Orange : John Vanbiesbrouck Dave Sprowl: "The Agents MVP is John Vanbiesbrouck, 72 games played, 41-21-5 with 5 shutouts, a 2.88 GAA and .906 save and all this on a team who's high scorer is a LW with 53 points." -Bridge City Huskies : Adam Oates Shaun Driver: "Adam Oates, he is da`man!" -Chicoutimi Sparrows : Kelly Miller -Edmonton Vikings : Alexei Zhamnov -Fort Sask. Fury : Russ Courtnall -Hamilton Hitmen : Peter Bondra -Hermitage G.Bangers : Sergei Fedorov -Houghton Icetasy : Jeremy Roenick -Milton Mustangs : Ed Belfour / Roman Hamrlik Brian Howe: "Well, I have two MVP's. First off, my team started the season losing the first 7 games straight! Then I acquired Ed Belfour, he has backstopped this team to within 2 points of a playoff berth! (You'd have thought he was one of those Quebec trained goalies!) Second, Roman Hamrlik, he was a steady player on a often-time unsteady team! He finished the season with 49 points and +14, not too shabby for a young defenceman!!" -Minneapolis Monarchs : Mike Vernon Andreas Larsson: "The only natural choice an Minneapolis Monarchs MVP is Mike Vernon." -Moscow Blizzard : Pat Lafontaine -Newfoundland Gangstaz: Stephane Fiset Marc Hebert: "There are a lot of players who could be MVP in my team, but there are three who really got to have more attention say, Mats Sundin, Stephane Fiset and Scott Stevens. The first was with the Gangstaz for only 27 games but he really carried the team and was a true fighter, going to the front every night. The last was with the team all year long and he was always the one who made the other d-men look good. You never get a bad game from Scott Stevens. Even more, he can score, he finished with a record of 54 pts and a +33. But the one who gets the palm is Stephane Fiset. It is really when he arrived from Bridge City that things started to get in place. He had an outstanding record with the Gangstaz, and a GAA lower than 3.00, even shutting out the adversary three times." -Oakville Raptors : Steve Yzerman -Pittsburgh Quakers : Jaromir Jagr Todd Henry: "Jaromir Jagr, with Alexei Yashin a close second." -Raleigh Wolfpack : Gary Roberts / Damian Rhodes -St.John's Grunts : Cam Neely Dave Moore: "Without a doubt or hesitation, Cam Neely for the Grunts!" -Texas Kodiaks : Ron Francis -Vancouver Drizzle : Mikael Renberg -Vancouver Voodoo : Joe Sakic Robert Wysoglad: "I guess Sakic is the only choice..." -Walkerton Breakers : Bernie Nicholls -Waterloo Lunatics : Steven Rice Jason Stumpf: "Well the MVP of the Waterloo Lunatics is Steven Rice. He started off as a third liner and quietly continued to pile up the points. Near the end of the season Steven had personal problems and his points started to tail off but he was a great motivator in the dressing room and ended up 4th on the Lunatics." -Waterloo Warriors : Doug Gilmour -Whitehorse Rapids : Theoren Fleury 3. Season Reviews and Stats : Team Records in Overtime Here are the teams records in overtime.
