NHL 97-98 roster update for HLS2
Version 1.0

Thanks for downloading this file!

This would not have been created without the help of several people,
named here in no particular order:

* Matt Mosley, who's NHL9697 rosters this was based upon
* espnet.sportszone.com/nhl/profiles - a very valuable source of
  "scouting" information
* www.nhlpa.com - has height, weight, scoring stats, and shoots/catches
  information on almost every player who played a game in the NHL
  during the past season
* The Hockey News - the bible of hockey; has plenty of information,
  including icetime and lines

General Information:
======================
These rosters were based on the information in the above mentioned
sources. I attempted to make the rosters accurately reflect the season
that each of these players had in the NHL, however, coaching bias,
injuries, teammates, etc. will have a great influence on how each
player plays. Since these rosters reflect the post-trade deadline
rosters, they actually only represent the NHL teams for about 15 or so
games in the 97-98 season.

Instructions:
======================
Unzip this file and the file called "hls2file.zip". Move the files
"NHL9798.*" into the directory with all of your other HLS2 league files.
The files entitled "Isles.lns" are text versions of the lines which
I loaded into the league files. The first part, with the numbers, is
for use in Tim Chan's League Manager program. The second part is just
a printed version of the lines for those without League Manager.

If you have questions, I may be able to help you out. You can e-mail
me at tbarron@icaen.uiowa.edu.

If you enjoy this product, I wouldn't mind hearing what you think.
There will be an update or two if I get enough comments, to make even
greater accuracy with the ratings. If you do make comments, use
comparisons to illustrate your point, e.g. Ziggy Palffy is faster
than Magnus Arvedsson, but you gave the both 7s in Qk!

If you can come up with more accurate lines than those I've made,
I wouldn't mind some newer ideas on how they were arranged.
