Subject: WHL: KODIAKS READY TO TAKE THE CUP!!!


Just as mysterious as their gm, Jud Burkett the Kodiaks have destroyed the opposition with the brilliant goaltending of Captain Kirk McLean. Since the leave of absence of gm Jud, assistant gm Jason Stumpf has taken over the helm and pushed this team hard
throughout the playoffs and they have shown that hard work pays off.

"I have worked these guys hard with one thing in mind and that is not to make it to the finals, but to drink from the cup. I took Ronnie Francis aside and told him that this year may be one of his last and he is the leader of the team and has to show them
 what determination and hard work can do. It just seems that everyone on the team look up to him and follow his work ethic and he is doing a great job."

When asked about the powerful offense of his opposition Stumpf had this to say, " Kirk has played not just great in goal. You look at the great players out there and he has overpowered all of them. I know that Lemeiux and Lindros are potent but I beleive
that good defence and superb goaltening will and in our case shall put down any offence, no matter how powerful they really are. I know this will be a good final with the best team winning and I know our team will take it!."

As it seems the due of Jud and Jason are working together on this one and they have the top goalie in the playoffs, will Kirk be able to work the magic of St. Patrick in the playoffs, we will just have to wait and see.
