(Albany) August 20 - Pandamonium has hit the streets of Albany, with the Mallrats nailing down the 1st WHL Championship, beating the Kodiaks on the road for the 4 games to 2 victory. The Mall was packed to capacity to watch the game on closed circuit TV, and the fans went nuts, and the partying didn't stop until the team made it back to Albany late this morning. Coach Ardis was estatic, "This is great! Everybody gave up on us after a midseason slide, but I knew we could do it! This team has a lot of character, and some great players. We'll be ready to defend next season!" Probably playoff MVP Mario Lemieux added, "We came together in the playoffs and won a couple of tough series. This win is a credit to the organization, and we're all happy to bring a cup to Ardis and to Albany".
