Mallrats won the 6th game in overtime when Paul Laus of every players shot the winner. GM Larsson said after the game. "Mallrats won fair. They were better in these games, but we have showed that we are the best team over 80 games. I can't help thinkin what have happend if Todd Gill and Alexander Daigle would have been healthy. Well, the season is over and we have had a superb first season. Vernon have been our MVP and I hope he wins the league MVP title as well. Peter Forsberg, Daigle and Uffe Dahlen has been great as well, and so were MacInnis of course. And don't think I have forgotten Ron Francis exellnet preformenec in the Monarchs jersey. The fans still miss Francis and I have always said that Francs are welcome back anytime to Monarchs. Well see ya all next year and hope fully we'll take the Championship then, and I also want to wish Mallrats all the luck in the next stage, but as I and Jim Hauer (ex interviewer for WHL Weekly) predicted before the playoffs: Nothin can stop Hitmen from winning, not evan Lemiuex and Lindros". /andreas larsson minneapolis monarchs
