Subject: EXPLOSIVES GO OFF IN VANCOUVER

This afternoon the Vancouver Voodoo made a landmark trade bringing "the
Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure back to Vancouver.  Pavel was reached at his in
Los Angeles home where he had this to say, "Well it is going to be nice
to play in Vancouver.  I have many friends there and I also still own a
home there.  I am really looking forward to the opportunity of playing
with Joe Sakic, and bringing my exciting style back for the fans of
Vancouver."

The deal sees Brett Hull and Keith Primeau leaving town, along with Jyrki
Lumme, and youngsters Patrick Poulin and Pavel's brother Valeri.

Along with Pavel , Nelson Emerson who is rejoining the Voodoo, Dave Lowry,
Alexsei Karpotsev, and Danton Cole.  Nelson Emerson will fit in nice as
the second line center, while Dave Lowry will have big shoes to fill on LW
as the Voodoo aren't very deep there.

In other news the Voodoo have welcomed Nolan Baumgartner to the team.
Nolan will compliment the Vancouver defence.  Coaches Darren Kinnaird and
co coaches Tom Renney (newly hired) and Pat Quinn, feel that Baumgartner
has really good talent but feel that it mut be worth it in the long run to
have him play for the Syracuse Crunch (Voodoo farm team) this season to
let his skills fully develop.
