Norsemen 2

Kingston - The Kingston Corinthians won their second game in a row
yesterday against the Struer Norsemen, the team that has taken the second
rank of the Adams division from the Corinthians a few days ago. Newcomers
Koivu, Lefebvre and Lowe played their first game with the Corinthians
yesterday. Only Lefebvre had his name on the score sheet with 1 assist,
but the three played a good game. Brett Hull, Joe Nieuwendyk and Robert
Kron scored for the winners.

Asked to comment on the behavior of Lori Steward, the Norsemen's GM, who
started shouting insults at everyone after the game, M.Hebert had this to
say: " They're just getting nervous. They know they shouldn't be where
they are, and neither are the Sparrows. The Corinthians are gonna take
their rightful place at the top of the Adams division very soon!" On those
words, he left.

The words of Madame Steward did have some effect. Keith Primeau, the
captain of the Corinthians, completely lost his head when he heard her
screaming at his coach. He shot out of the team's bench, picked a
discarded puck and snapped it in the general direction of the Norsemen's
bench. The puck hit a newpaper photograph square on the head. Primeau was
immediately suspended by the league's office for 2 games. Here's what he
had to say: " I shouldn't have been suspended, it wasn't intentionnal. I
just slipped, and my stick caught the puck. It's just bad luck."

Apparently, the WHL's commish, M.Michael Hebert didn't believe him.
